Serving Snohomish County for more than 30 years, the Citizens' Advisory Committee (CAC) is a citizen's advocacy organization which "...provide(s) a forum to encourage public participation and dialogue between Community Transit and riders, both current and potential."

The CAC meets ten times a year at various locations throughout Snohomish County to hear public comments, take requests and receive updates from Community Transit staff. Members serve two-year terms and are selected to achieve demographically and geographically balanced representation from as many segments of the community as possible. Providing input on such issues as shelters and fare structure, communicating transportation support to our legislature and talking to fellow passengers regarding suggestions for the agency are routine duties for the Committee.

"The Citizens Advisory Committee provides a most valuable link between passengers and would-be-passengers to their local public transit provider," said Community Transit Board Chair Richard L. Marin. "Committee members share a commitment to insuring that Community Transit achieves the best possible service that agency resources can provide."

Current members of the Citizens' Advisory Committee include: John Carlin, Edmonds; Marc Greenhouse, Mukilteo; David Hursh, Darrington; Bill Kummerle, South Everett; Suzanne Manville, Eastmont Park & Ride; John Rynd, Mill Creek; Joseph Heineck, Frontier Village/Lake Stevens; Cheryl Garland, Stanwood; and Tom Peloquin, Marysville.
