Title VI Program

Notifying the Public of Rights under Title VI

Community Transit ensures that all programs and services provided do not discriminate on the basis of race, color or national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. If you believe you have been discriminated against on the basis of race, color or national origin by Community Transit, you may file a Title VI complaint by completing, signing and submitting the agency’s Title VI Complaint Form.

This program is updated every three years and is submitted to the Federal Transit Administration(FTA) for approval. The Community Transit Board of Directors approved the current three-year program on May 2, 2013. Key components include how Community Transit:

  • Measures impacts to minority and low-income populations when making service and fare changes.
  • Engages minority populations in public outreach efforts.
  • Takes reasonable steps to ensure meaningful access to individuals who are limited English proficient (LEP).
