Swift Green Line Stations

The Swift Green Line is under construction!

This new bus rapid transit line from Community Transit will provide fast, frequent service between Canyon Park/Bothell and Boeing/Paine Field in early 2019.

Swift bus rapid transit is different than regular local bus service:

  • Stations are spaced farther apart and buses come by more often.
  • Customers pay their fare at the station.
  • When the bus arrives, all doors open and passengers get on and off the bus in about 10 seconds.

Swift station construction

Swift Station under construction, August 2009The Swift Green Line will serve 34 stations at 16 intersections and two terminals. Over the next 14 months, we will be building these stations in stages: underground utility work, concrete platform, and finally the station structure. Some of this work will require temporary lanes closures and overnight work.

Road and signal improvements

Community Transit is creating new road and signal improvements to help Swift buses stay on schedule. These improvements will also benefit all traffic.

Several lane extensions will help vehicles making right turns or merging into traffic. Work at some intersections will include pedestrian ADA improvements and better sidewalk access to Swift stations.

In partnership with the state and county, new “smart signal” technology will be installed. This adaptive signal control system uses real-time traffic data to keep vehicles moving at high-volume intersections throughout the corridor.

Swift Network

The Swift Green Line will connect with the existing Swift Blue Line at Highway 99 & Airport Road. This establishes Snohomish County's first high capacity transit network, which will eventually include more Swift lines and Link light rail.
