Route 116: Stop Closures and Reroute in Edmonds

Phase 2 of Dayton Street Utility Project Begins

The City of Edmonds will begin Phase 2 of the Dayton St. utility improvements project on Jan. 6, 2020. The construction will impact Route 116 between 9th Ave and 3rd Ave.

Please refer to the closed stops and new temporary stops listed below. The new stops will be marked with a Community Transit bus stop sign during the reroute.

The City of Edmonds expects the work to take several months. We will update this rider alert as the project progresses.

Closed stops:

Westbound to Edmonds:

  • Main St & 9th Ave N (Stop #1823)
  • Dayton St & 8th Ave S (Stop #1776)
  • Dayton St & Durbin Dr (Stop #1773)
  • 6th Ave S & Maple St (Stop #3251)

Eastbound to Silver Firs:

  • Dayton St & 5th Ave S (Stop #406)
  • 6th Ave S & Dayton St (Stop #733)
  • Main St & 7th Ave N (Stop #457)
  • Main St & 8th Ave S (Stop #459)
  • Main St & 9th Ave S(Stop #460) 

New temporary stops:

Westbound to Edmonds:

  • Maple St & 8th Ave S
  • Maple St & 7th Ave S
