Route 424: Montlake Fwy Station Closure, June 22

Jun 13, 2019, 10:34 AM

Beginning Monday, June 24, Route 424 riders traveling to the UW area will need to transfer to King County Metro Routes 167 or 277 or Sound Transit Routes 540, 541 or 542 at the Evergreen Point Freeway Station in Medina, on the east side of the bridge.

This transfer will likely get you closer to your final campus destination than the Montlake Freeway Station. The stop at Montlake Blvd. and Shelby St. will be the closest to the current stop.

Here are your transfer options:

  • Route 167 travels west on NE Pacific St. (in front of the medical center), north on 15th Ave. NE, then west on NE 45th St. to Roosevelt Way NE.
  • Route 277 travels west on NE Pacific St. (in front of the medical center), north on 15th Ave. NE, then through the campus loop (Stevens Way).
  • Routes 540, 541 and 542 travel west on NE Pacific St. (in front of the Medical Center) and then north on 15th Ave. NE.
    • Route 540 continues through the campus loop.
    • Route 541 ends at 15th & 45th.
    • Route 542 continues north on Roosevelt Way to Green Lake.

Heading eastbound, you can board at the stop where you got off your connecting bus, or connect with any of these routes at Montlake Blvd. East & East Lake Washington Blvd.

Be sure to check the Route 424 schedule in the current Bus Plus book to make time adjustments for connections.
