New bus loop at Mountlake Terrace Transit Center

If you're a returning rider who connects buses at the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center, here's some information to help make your transfer smooth!

Last month Sound Transit opened a new bus loop, one block east of the transit center parking garage. The old bus loop was closed to facilitate construction of the future light rail station.

Some bus stop locations have changed, and two new bus stops on 236th St SW have opened, as noted below.

MLT new bus loop March 2021

  • Routes 111, 112, 119 and King County Metro 347: use Bay 1 in the new bus loop.
  • Routes 810, 871: use Bay 3, and Stops #3266 and #2644 on 236th St SW in front of the new bus loop and parking lot.
  • Route 130: use Bay 3, Bay 4 and Stop #2644.
  • The transit center parking garage and freeway station (Bays 6-7) remain open.

Customers should use the sidewalks on 236th St SW to walk or roll between the new bus loop, and the freeway station (Bays 6-7).
