Construction for Community Transit’s Swift Orange Line continues

Changes coming to McCollum Park Park & Ride

In May of 2022, the construction for Community Transit’s Swift Orange Line started, and soon more changes are coming at McCollum Park Park and Ride.

The existing bus stops at this location will be closed in early 2023. The construction crew is reconfiguring the parking lot and the transit loop, where buses stop. With some temporary changes coming, transit riders will be redirected to board their buses at a temporary platform nearby, on Park Road. There will be signs posted to explain where to go to wait for the bus.

McCollum Park Park & Ride will mark the east end of the Swift Orange Line corridor. Edmonds College Transit Center will mark the west end of the route. There will be 11 stops in between.

Swift Orange Line is expected to start service in 2024 and will connect south Snohomish County to the region's high-capacity transit network when Sound’s Transit Link light rail extends to Lynnwood. The fast and frequent Orange Line will go to popular areas, including stops at Mill Creek Town Center and Alderwood Mall.

Swift Orange Line will be the third bus rapid transit (BRT) line in Community’s’ Transit operating area. It will cross paths with the existing Swift Green and Swift Blue lines, providing quick and convenient access to locations and services.

As the work advances, there could be some disruptions to traffic in the area in order to build the new stations.
