The holiday rush has arrived, bringing rainy days, potential snow, and crowded retail centers. Navigating these challenges can make commuting stressful, but Community Transit is here to help. With new light rail stations and expanded bus connections, transit is more accessible and reliable than ever.

“Your commute sets the tone for your entire workday,” says Colton Davis, a Community Transit representative focused on helping businesses implement transit benefits. “This season, why not give your employees the gift of an easier, stress-free commute?”

Davis works with Snohomish County businesses to explain the many transit-related benefits available through Community Transit.

“If you’re stuck in traffic, stressed about finding parking, or worried about rising gas prices, it can impact job satisfaction,” Davis says. “Employer-provided transit benefits can address these concerns and help retain employees.”

For a limited time, Community Transit is offering businesses an exclusive discount when they provide employees with ORCA transit passes. The ORCA for Business Incentive program helps businesses in Snohomish County improve employee benefits and commuting experiences. Businesses can save up to 50% off first-year costs, with rates as low as $34 per employee for a full-year transit pass.

With an employer-provided ORCA card, employees enjoy a wide range of commuting options, including buses, Sounder trains, and light rail, ensuring flexibility and convenience. Riders can access services across all seven major regional transit agencies.

“ORCA for Business removes the guesswork from providing affordable and reliable commuting options,” Davis says. “This benefit shows current and prospective employees that you value their time, money, and work-life balance.”

The program also supports sustainable commuting. By encouraging public transportation, businesses reduce carbon emissions and position themselves as environmentally responsible leaders.

“The new year is a time when people rethink habits and expenses, including their commute,” Davis notes. “People want to work for businesses that reflect their values. Supporting sustainable transit resonates with those who prioritize social responsibility.”

Additionally, businesses participating in ORCA for Business may qualify for transportation tax deductions, optimizing expenses while supporting employees.
