Pictured above: Onboard survey team members will distribute surveys on all Community Transit routes from October 5 to November 2. Their blue vest and badge identify them.
From Oct. 6 through Nov. 2, Community Transit is conducting an Onboard Rider Survey on all our bus routes, including Swift. This survey will help us understand the diverse needs of our riders and guide improvements to our service, communications, and rider experience.
Survey staff from our research partner, ETC Institute, will be boarding buses throughout Snohomish County during this period. They’ll be easy to spot—wearing bright safety vests and badges—and will carry an official letter from Community Transit’s CEO authorizing them to conduct the survey.
These staff members will invite riders to complete a brief 10–12-minute survey. They will collect completed surveys on the bus, or riders may return them by mail.
Your input helps shape the future of transit in Snohomish County. For example, the 2022 survey revealed that many riders speak Vietnamese. As a result, we began offering rider information in Vietnamese.
This year’s survey will continue to help us:
The survey is voluntary, and all responses are kept confidential. ETC Institute will not share your personal information with anyone outside of Community Transit.
We appreciate your time and feedback. Every survey response helps us make transit more accessible, reliable, and fair for everyone.
