New Year, New Ride Challenge
Start 2026 with a new way to get around when you join Community Transit’s New Year, New Ride Challenge.
From Jan. 5 to Feb. 6, log your trips for a chance to win weekly prizes and a grand prize, including Visa gift cards up to $250.
Riding together with transit, carpool, and Vanpool options can help you save money on gas and car maintenance, reduce your carbon footprint, and improve traffic for everyone.
How to participate
- Sign up or log in at ctgo.org/rewards to join the challenge;
- Log trips taken between Jan. 5 and Feb. 6 on the Trip Log Calendar
- Qualify for weekly and grand prize drawings

- One for most trips (minimum of 3)

Top performers across the full challenge (minimum 12 trips) can win:
- $250 gift card for most trips taken overall
- $100 gift card for each person in a group with most trips taken overall

Contest Rules:
- Prize limitations: Participants may win only one weekly prize during the entire promotion period, regardless of the week in which it is awarded. All participants remain eligible for the grand prizes.
- Prize allocation: In the event of a tie, winners will be chosen by random drawing.
- Trip count: Only trips taken on the following modes will count as eligible trips for this challenge: carpool, vanpool, bus, train, light rail, streetcar, passenger ferry.
- Trip logging: Participants must accurately log all trips. False or duplicate entries may result in disqualification.
- Eligibility verification: Proof of age, Snohomish County residency, employment, or school enrollment may be required.
- DART Paratransit and Zip Shuttle: These trips count as bus trips when logged.
- Organizers’ right to disqualify: Community Transit reserves the right to disqualify participants for rule violations or fraudulent behavior.

This New Year New Ride Challenge is sponsored by Community Transit, 2312 W. Casino Road, Everett, WA 98204. Open to Washington residents, age 18 or older at the time of entry, who reside, work, or attend school in Snohomish County. Employees, board members, and immediate family members of Community Transit are not eligible. “Immediate family” includes spouse, parents, siblings, and children living in the same household. Complete the New Year New Ride Challenge at RideshareOnline.com between 12:00 a.m. PT on January 5, 2026, and 11:59 p.m. PT on February 6, 2026 to be entered into the prize drawing. Alternate method of entry: Mail your name, mailing address, email and phone number to: Community Transit – New Year New Ride Challenge, 2312 W. Casino Road, Everett, WA 98204. Mailed entries for grand prizes must be postmarked by February 13, 2026, and received by February 20, 2026. Limit one entry per person, regardless of method. One (1) winner will receive a $250 Visa gift card. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $250. Four (4) weekly prize periods will occur during the challenge. Three (3) individual winners will be selected per week, for a total of twelve (12) weekly prize winners that will receive a $50 Visa gift card. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $50. One (1) winning team with at least 3 people and up to 6 people will receive one $100 Visa gift card per team member. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $600. No substitution, exchange, or cash equivalent will be made except at the sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable. Odds depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The weekly winners will be selected within 5 business days after the entry period ends. The grand prize winners will be selected within 30 business days after the entry period ends. The potential winner will be notified by phone and/or email. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, or is found ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected. All federal, state, and local taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. If required by law, the sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 to the winner.

By accepting the prize, the winner grants Community Transit permission to use their name, likeness, and city of residence for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the promotion if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the contest.
