Take Transit to the NFL Playoffs in Seattle

Take the travel hassle out of watching the Seahawks’ playoff run

A Swift bus has

The Seattle Seahawks are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2022. Since then, transit in Snohomish County has expanded, making travel to Lumen Field easier than ever.

Skip the hassle of dealing with I-5 construction and paying for parking when taking Community Transit to Link light rail for the NFC Divisional Round against the San Francisco 49ers at 5 p.m. Saturday, January 17.

Here are some pro tips to make traveling to the game easier.

Park at a Park & Ride and take the bus to Lynnwood City Center Station

Parking at light rail stations fills up fast, even on non-gamedays, so skip the hassle of finding parking and take the bus from other Park & Rides to light rail.

Ash Way Park & Ride has plenty of free parking. From there, these routes connect you to Lynnwood City Center Station in about 12–20 minutes, depending on the route and time of day:

You can use Community Transit’s Plan My Trip tool to find a Park & Ride near you. Just enter where you’re starting, your destination, and how early you want to arrive at the stadium.

Get your ORCA card topped up

Refill your ORCA card online and transfer from bus to light rail hassle-free. Don’t have an ORCA card?  Be sure to have exact change for your bus and Link rides. Regular adult fare on Community Transit is $2.50, and regular adult fare on Link light rail is $3.00. Learn about fares here.

Plan for full trains

On busy game days, be prepared for standing-room-only rides, especially post-game. Arriving early can help you avoid crowded trains and gives you time to enjoy some pregame atmosphere.

Dress warm!

This may be a given, but dress warm for the trip and for the game. Heavy coats, layers, and a nice warm hat will keep you toasty and dry while on the platform and at the game.
