Long before buses, highways, or even railroads, people were finding ways to move through the Puget Sound region, and those early choices helped shape transportation as we know it today.

As Community Transit celebrates 50 years of serving Snohomish County, we're taking a step back to look at the bigger picture. Jennifer Ott, executive director and historian at HistoryLink sits down with Host Monica Spain to talk about how people have moved through the region for thousands of years, from canoes and steamers to the Interurban, I-5 and public transit today.

Ott also shares the story behind our partnership with HistoryLink, including Bluebell, our 1959 original bus transformed into a mobile museum that brings Community Transit’s history out into the community.

Watch or listen to the episode and learn more about the history behind the ride.
