Starting August 29, Community Transit is making changes to bus routes, schedules, and park and ride facilities in Snohomish County. The updates will impact several stops, including in Bellevue and Downtown Seattle. Service changes take place four times a year to improve reliability and connections and meet shifting demands.

Routes 109, 166, and 901 are changing to serve the new Cathcart Park & Ride that’s opening on the southwest corner of Cathcart Way and SR 9 near Silver Firs, in Snohomish. While riders will see new stops on all three routes, including Willis D. Tucker Community Park, some stops will be eliminated to better serve areas where ridership is growing and plan for future expansion. Two existing park and rides are being renamed to Lake Stevens Park & Ride and Marysville 116th Park & Ride.

Community Transit is also seeing an increase in riders on the weekends, particularly for the following routes that will have added trips starting on Aug. 29:

  • Swift Blue Line (Everett Station – Shoreline North/185th Station)
  • 201, 202 (Smokey Point Transit Center – Lynnwood City Center Station)
  • ST 512 (Everett Station – Lynnwood City Center Station)
  • ST 535 (Lynnwood City Center – Bellevue)
  • 908 (Snohomish Park & Ride – Bellevue)

Service is also increasing on weekdays for several areas, especially for ST Route 513 (Seaway Transit Center – Lynnwood City Center Station), which will have buses running in both directions in the mornings and afternoons, and new stops on W. Casino Rd. to serve major employers and apartment complexes in Everett. Route 271 (Everett Station – Gold Bar) will also ramp up service during the week.

With the Sound Transit Link light rail 1 and 2 lines operating in Snohomish County, ST Route 515 between Lynnwood and Seattle is retiring. Routes that will have fewer trips are:

  • 102 (Edmonds Station – Lynnwood City Center Station)
  • 904 (Marysville – Lynnwood City Center Station)
  • 909 (Edmonds Station – Mountlake Terrace Station)
