Northbound lane closures in Seattle, 10/30-11/2
Revive I-5 is coming to an end this weekend. At least for this year.
All lanes of northbound I-5 between I-90 and NE 45th Street will be closed from 11:59 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2. Crews will be removing construction equipment from the yearlong project to renovate this stretch of freeway. Express lanes will remain open northbound all weekend.
On Monday, Nov. 2, all four lanes of NB I-5 will be re-opened and the I-5 Express Lanes will go back to their regular cycle of running southbound in the mornings, northbound midday, and closing overnight.
Early next year, that same stretch of I-5 will see partial southbound lane closures for most of the year to complete the Revive I-5 project.
Revive I-5 construction work has caused significant delays to southbound I-5 morning travel. Next year's work could have a similar effect.
