The Community Transit Ride Store is located at Lynnwood City Center Station, near the Link light rail station and bus loop.

Community Transit is celebrating one year since the renovated and expanded Ride Store customer service center opened its doors at Lynnwood City Center Station.

The upgraded Ride Store first welcomed customers on Aug. 29, 2024, a day before Sound Transit’s Link light rail expanded into Snohomish County. Since then, the Ride Store has been a welcoming hub for riders seeking expert help, easy access to transit services, and a convenient stop on their daily journeys.

A community hub for riders

The Ride Store is a one-stop shop for transit riders in Snohomish County. Customers can purchase or reload an ORCA card, ask questions about transit service or get help planning a trip, learn about reduced fare options, or track down a lost item with the new lost & found system. The Ride Store team is there to help.

Riders also can appreciate having access to transit experts and a public restroom just steps away from Community Transit and Sound Transit buses, Zip shuttles, paratransit services, and Link light rail. About 2,500 people visit the Ride Store each month.

“Customers like that we are here at Lynnwood City Center Station because it’s easy to get to. They like the convenience of being able to access the Ride Store by both bus and light rail,” said Annmarie Gibson, CT Assistant Manager of Customer Care.

The new space

The new Ride Store is nearly twice the size of the previous Ride Store, designed with both comfort and safety in mind. With bright lighting, improved sight lines, and enhanced security, the new space makes every visit easier and more enjoyable.

The expanded interior not only allows for more customers to be served, but also has allowed for weekly pop-up events that allow customers to learn about and apply for reduced fare ORCA cards.

As we celebrate this one-year milestone, Community Transit is proud to continue offering a welcoming, accessible, and convenient space for all riders. Whether you’re catching a bus, headed to the light rail, or stopping by just to say “hey,” the Ride Store is here for you. Here’s to many more years of helping riders on their journeys!
