Take Swift Blue Line to get to local grocery stores

Get your shopping done from Everett to Lynnwood
A picture of a Swift bus. The bus is blue and green, and pulled up next to a bus stop with the door open.

Pictured above: Swift buses feature a blue-and-green design and say "Swift” on them. Each Swift station includes tall signage, covered seating, ticket vending machines, and ORCA card readers.

When the local Fred Meyer closed this month, many people in the Casino Road–Evergreen Way area of south Everett lost their go-to grocery store.

Community Transit’s Swift Blue Line has two stations on the corner of Casino and Evergreen and provides riders with fast, frequent service to nearby stores.

From large grocery stores to local shops, you’ll find plenty of stores to choose from along the Swift Blue Line. We’ve highlighted a few options to get you started. You can also look for Everett Transit routes that stop near local stores.

How to ride Swift

Swift stations look different than a normal bus stop. They all have shelters, seating, ticket machines, and a tall monument sign with the color of the bus line on it. You’ll find ORCA card readers at each end of the station. A digital sign shows when the next bus is coming.

Once you’re at the station, pay for your Swift ride at the Ticket Vending Machine. Swift fare is $2.50. You can pay with cash or credit card, or tap your ORCA card on the ORCA card reader. Keep your ticket or tapped ORCA card as proof that you’ve paid for your ride.

You might notice Service Ambassadors on the bus or Transit Security Officers at the station. They’re part of our team and are here to help make your ride safe and comfortable. Learn more about Safety & Security here.
