Community Transit is making minor changes to bus service starting June 13.

The agency is retiring its last Seattle route, Route 424, and replacing it with a new Route 908 that will connect East Snohomish County to East King County. Travelers to Seattle can connect to the Link 2 Line in Bellevue to complete that trip.

In addition, Eastmont Park & Ride will be closing and trip times at Canyon Park Park & Ride will now be estimated times. See an overview of these changes below and visit Community Transit's service change webpage to learn more.

  • 424 (Snohomish – Downtown Seattle)

What to know:

  • This service will replace the retired Route 424.
  • Riders from East Snohomish County can travel to Seattle by transferring to Link light rail 2 Line at Bellevue Transit Center.
  • Route 908 will have 10 daily trips: five morning trips and five evening trips. This is more than double the four trips currently offered on Route 424.
  • Route 908 will serve the Bothell Park & Ride, Totem Lake Freeway Station, and another stop in downtown Bellevue in addition to Bellevue Transit Center. All stops will be pick-up and drop-off.

Why are we making this change?

This change creates more efficiency and more travel opportunities as the Link 2 Line is now open across Lake Washington. Watch the video above for a full explanation of the new route.

Why is bus service changing?

Community Transit has four service changes throughout the year. During these changes, we work to improve connections with buses and other local transit, adjust schedules for actual travel times, and make bus service more reliable. In some cases, these changes are made in response to riders' comments and requests.
