Community Transit and the Evergreen State Fair invite you to celebrate 50 years of public transportation in Snohomish County on Aug. 30, “Community Transit Day,” at the fairgrounds.

People across Snohomish County use Community Transit to get to jobs, schools, appointments, and the places that matter in everyday life, including the Evergreen State Fair. As the agency celebrates its golden anniversary, the community that helped make local transit what it is today is invited to join us for all your favorite fair activities, plus:

• Hop aboard Bluebell, an original Community Transit bus that’s been transformed into a museum.
• Pick up a 50^th Anniversary commemorative ORCA card (while supplies last).
• Collect Community Transit stickers and bus trading cards featuring past and present fleet vehicles.
• Meet Community Transit staff and learn how to use public transit to get to the fair or anywhere you want to go in Snohomish County and beyond.

Take the bus to the Evergreen State Fair’s Red Gate
Fair-goers can save on gas and parking by taking Community Transit buses to the fair. Buses drop riders off at the Red Gate (west gate) entrance of the fairgrounds in Monroe. Routes that go directly to the fair

Community Transit bus service goes to the fairgrounds from Everett via Snohomish on Route 270 (on weekdays) and Route 271 (on weekdays and weekends); and from Gold Bar on Route 271 (on weekdays and weekends). Bus schedules are available at communitytransit.org/schedules.

Start your trip at a free park & ride

For Routes 270 and 271, riders can park at Everett Station or at the Gold Bar, Snohomish or Sultan park & ride lots. Walk to Avenue D to catch the bus outside the Snohomish Park & Ride.

Riding the bus is economical for the whole family

• Adult fares (ages 19–64) are $2.50 or less for those who qualify for reduced-income fares.
• Fares for older adults (ages 65 and above) are $1.
• Youth 18 and under ride free!
