The Aug. 29 service change introduced a new park & ride in Snohomish, two park & ride name changes in Lake Stevens and Marysville, and bay changes for bus riders at two locations in Everett.

New park & ride

The new Cathcart Park & Ride opened at Cathcart Way and Highway 9 in the Silver Firs area of Snohomish. The site has 154 parking spaces, making it easy for drivers in the Clearview, Maltby, and Snohomish areas to park and ride rather than sit in traffic. Riders can also connect to light rail directly from this park & ride. Three routes serve the new park & ride, with some additional changes to each route:

New park & ride names

Community Transit also renamed two locations to help riders find parking more easily:

  • Lake Stevens Transit Center is now Lake Stevens Park & Ride, which has bike lockers and more than 200 parking stalls. Routes 109, 209, 280, and 903 serve this site. CT is designating the term "park & ride" for facilities with parking and "transit center" for facilities that are transit hubs without parking.
  • Marysville II Park & Ride is now Marysville 116th Park & Ride to reflect its street location. It has 48 parking stalls, and commuters can catch Routes 905 and 907 at this facility.

Bay changes

Two transit centers also adjusted bay assignments:

  • Everett Station: Northbound trips for Routes 201 and 202 moved to Bays A2 and A3.
  • Seaway Transit Center: Route 513 southbound trips now depart from Bay 6, and northbound trips arrive at Bay 11.
