Swift Green Line Extension

Swift Green Bus

Community Transit is expanding our Swift bus rapid transit (BRT) network by extending the Swift Green Line. We will add up to six new pairs of stations between Canyon Park Park & Ride and UW Bothell/Cascadia College.

The Swift Green Line Extension will create direct connections to two major destinations at downtown Bothell and UW Bothell/Cascadia College, as well as Sound Transit’s Stride S3 BRT line.

Planning for station locations is underway. The timeline for the Swift Green Line Extension aligns with the City of Bothell’s Bothell Way NE Multimodal Project and the Sound Transit Stride S3 Line. Coordinating construction with the Bothell Way project is more efficient and reduces overall costs. We anticipate you’ll be able to ride the Swift Green Line Extension starting between 2028 and 2031.

Opportunities to engage

We gathered input from the community on the proposed station locations from Oct. 16 through Nov. 10, 2023. Visit the Swift Green Line Extension online open house to learn more about the proposed station locations or watch the recorded webinar below.

Our project team will review community input and consider adjustments to the proposed station locations. Early next year, we will share the recommended station locations. Sign up for the Swift Network News to stay up to date on the project and learn about the recommended station locations.
