To use DART Paratransit, you must first qualify for eligibility and then call ahead to schedule your trips.

DART paratransit service can take riders to destinations within three-quarters of a mile of Community Transit’s local routes and Sound Transit’s Link light rail service.
DART runs during the same hours as the local routes in each service area. For example, if you use DART in an area served by Route 209, DART will be available during the same hours that Route 209 is running. You can check the Maps & Schedules page or route details and service times.
At the top of this web page is an interactive map of the DART paratransit service area that allows you to search by address or location to see if DART is available in your area.

Paratransit service to the new Shoreline South/148th Station and other Link light rail stations in King County is provided by King County Metro’s paratransit service.
When riders call or use the app to schedule a DART ride, they will be notified if their trip falls outside of the service area or service times. Please call (425) 347-5912 with questions about your DART service.
DART service is provided to people who are unable to use regular bus service due to a disability or condition. All riders must apply to use DART paratransit and meet with an Eligibility Specialist for an assessment interview.
Assessment interviews are customized to each person’s mobility, sensory, and cognitive abilities. During the interview, you’ll be asked about your experience using transit. You may also be asked to do simple activities to check your balance, strength, coordination, and range of motion.
The rider assessment interview may take one to two hours to complete. Be sure to dress for comfort and the weather as activities may take place outdoors.
You will receive your eligibility decision by mail within 21 calendar days after you complete your assessment and provide all required information. If you disagree with the decision, you may appeal it.
Call DART at (425) 347-5912 to cancel or reschedule your ride. Please call as soon as possible so we can provide a ride for other passengers.
If you miss your trip, DART will count it as a “No-Show”. Repeated No-Shows and Late Cancellations can result in suspension of your DART service.
If you miss your initial trip, the return trip will remain scheduled. If you do not want the return trip, please call DART to cancel.
Your pick-up time may be scheduled up to one hour earlier or later than the time you request. DART staff will make every effort to arrange a pickup time that works for you.
When you book a trip, you’ll receive a 30-minute arrival window for when DART should arrive. Please be ready at the start of that window. The driver will wait up to five minutes after arriving to pick you up.
During your trip, the DART vehicle may make several stops to pick up or drop off other riders before reaching your destination. Your DART trip will take about the same amount of time as a trip on a regular fixed-route bus.
DART will transport passengers in mobility devices if they meet our safety standards and can be accommodated by our equipment. Your safety is our priority.
The combined weight of the user, mobility device and all belongings and accessories cannot exceed the capacity of the lift (most lifts have a capacity between 600 and 800 pounds). Your mobility device must not extend into the aisle after being secured.You must pay a fare or show a valid pass each time you ride a DART vehicle. Paying for a ride in advance is not currently available.

*DART ticket books and monthly passes can be purchased online at Community Transit’s secure online store, in-person at the Ride Store, by phone at (425) 348-2350, or by mail using the DART by Mail order form.
Snohomish County residents who are enrolled in certain state benefit programs may also qualify for a Subsidized Annual Pass, which allows card holders to ride all transit services—including DART—at no cost. Reduced fares (ORCA LIFT and ORCA Regional Reduced Fare Permit) are not currently available on DART services.
If you are transferring from DART to another transit service, an ORCA card is the easiest way to pay your fare. With an ORCA card, you can transfer your fare to another transit service for up to two hours. ORCA keeps track of how much you’ve paid so you never pay more than one fare.
Adults 19 to 64, ORCA LIFT riders, and ORCA Regional Reduced Fare Permit holders pay $2.50 for each trip on DART. Youth (18 and younger) and ORCA Subsidized Annual Pass holders ride DART at no cost.

A subscription ride (also called a standing ride) is a reservation for a trip you take consistently on the same day(s) of the week, at the same time, to and from the same places. If you would like to set up a subscription ride, call DART at (425) 347-5912 to learn more about the requirements and for help requesting what you need.
If your subscription ride is approved, DART will notify you of your scheduled pick-up times. You do not need to call to book these trips again. Your pick-up time may vary from day to day.
If your request for a subscription ride is not approved, you will need to call each time to book individual trips.
Please let us know as soon as possible if your plans change. Your subscription ride may be canceled if it is frequently changed or canceled.

Personal Care Attendant
A Personal Care Attendant (PCA) is someone who travels with a passenger who cannot travel alone. If you need a PCA to travel with you on DART, be sure to note this on your DART application and in your eligibility interview. DART does not provide Personal Care Attendants. The driver cannot serve as your attendant.
The PCA rides free and must get on and off at the same time and place as the passenger.
Other companions
You may have one, or more companion ride with you if space is available. Adult riders must pay the same fare as you and get on and off at the same time and place as you.
Children must be with a responsible, DART-eligible adult, and may board only when the passenger is ready to board. Please let us know when scheduling your trip if any children will be riding with you. Children and youth younger than 19 ride free.
