Changes to Routes 121, 222, 280 start December 15

Check your schedule to be ready for the change

Minor changes to Community Transit bus service start on Dec. 15. These changes are made with you in mind, helping to create more reliable service, improved connections, and more options for your trips. Be sure to check your bus schedule ahead of time so you’re ready for any updates.

Which routes are changing?

There will be minor updates to local bus service on three bus routes. This includes schedule adjustments and some stop changes to improve reliability and connections. The following routes will have changes starting Dec. 15.

Route 121 (Ash Way Park & Ride – UW Bothell/Cascadia College)

Route 121 will have a minor schedule change on weekday mornings. The first trip of the day from UW Bothell will leave five minutes earlier, at 5:00 a.m. instead of 5:05 a.m.

This change will affect stop times along the route. Please check the bus schedule before traveling.

Route 222 (Marysville - Tulalip)

Route 222 will have minor schedule changes on weekday morning trips.

  • The 6:40 a.m. trip from Marysville will leave five minutes earlier at 6:35 a.m.
  • The 7:05 a.m. trip from Tulalip will leave 10 minutes earlier at 6:55 a.m.
  • The 7:55 a.m. trip from Tulalip will leave five minutes earlier at 7:50 a.m.
  • These changes will affect stop times along the route. Please check the bus schedule before traveling.

Route 280 (Granite Falls - Everett Station) 

Route 280 will have changes on weekdays, for short trips that travel between Everett Station and Lake Stevens only.

  • These short Route 280 trips will start and end at a new bus stop on 18th St NE in Lake Stevens (Stop 3454).
  • The stop at Jay’s Market will still be served by trips heading toward Everett, but it will now be the second stop on the route. (Stop 581)
  • The stop on 16th St NE and Main St (Stop 2577) will no longer be served on these short trips. Riders can instead get off at the new stop on 18th St NE.
  • Trips traveling the full bus route between Everett and Granite Falls will not be affected by these changes.

  • Plan ahead with online tools. Use Community Transit’s Maps & Schedules and Plan My Trip to plan a trip and see the updates to your route. Be sure to set your travel date to Dec. 15 or later.

  • Visit the Ride Store. You can visit the Community Transit Ride Store, at Lynnwood City Center Station to ask questions or get help planning a trip. The Ride Store is open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. and weekends from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Why are you making these changes to bus service?

Community Transit makes changes to bus service four times per year: two regular updates in the spring and early fall, and two smaller adjustments in the early summer and winter. Sometimes changes are in response to rider comments and requests. Learn more at communitytransit.org/servicechanges.
