Join an existing Vanpool

1.

Find an existing group
See available vanpools along your route to find a match.

2.

Coordinate your ride
Once you find a match, confirm the seat availability by contacting the group and complete the required documents.

3.

Need more matches? Check the regional list
If you did not find a match from our current vanpool list, you can try searching the regional database by registering at RideshareOnline.

Start your own Vanpool

1.

Form your own group
To form a new vanpool, you will need at least 2 volunteer drivers and 1 bookkeeper. Vanpool drivers must meet our Vanpool Driver Eligibility requirements.

2.

Plan your ride
Coordinate group details like parking, route, and work schedule. Fares vary—use the Vanpool Calculator below. Your employer may cover some costs, so check with your HR department to find out if you're eligible for commuter vanpool benefits.

3.

Submit an application
Complete a Vanpool Starter Kit and email to Vanpool@commtrans.org to start your application.
