Share your transit story

What does public transit mean to you? Do you have a positive memorable experience on Community Transit you’d like to share with us? We’re looking for riders to share how they use our services, including local and Express buses, Swift bus rapid transit,  Zip Shuttle, Vanpool, and DART paratransit.

What is the best way to contact you?
Choose one or all of these prompts to briefly share your Community Transit rider story:

  • Freedom and Independence: How has Community Transit impacted your independence, especially if you don’t own a car or can’t drive?

  • The Unsung Hero: Have you ever witnessed or been helped by a kind stranger or a Community Transit employee during a transit ride? Tell us about it.

  • Where I Ride to: Tell us about the places you take Community Transit to. These can be types of trips (e.g. to school, work, visit friends, etc.) or destinations. Be sure to tell us which bus routes you use to get to where you need to be!
By entering this contest, I agree to allow Community Transit to use my first name and submitted story for marketing purposes, including but not limited to website, social channels, advertising, and other promotional marketing assets. If my story is selected for use, it will include a clear disclosure that it was submitted as part of this contest.

Each week during Ride Transit Month, we will select up to five winning stories. Winning stories will be selected based on:
  • Impact: Does the story effectively showcase Community Transit from your rider point-of-view and how it's impacting the way you travel?
  • Specificity: Does the story include details about your experience with Community Transit?
  • Clarity and Conciseness: Is the story easy to understand and engaging?

Contest rules

  • No purchase necessary.
  • Eligibility: This contest is open to U.S. residents 18 and older, who reside in Snohomish County. Community Transit employees, contractors, and their immediate family members are not eligible to win.
  • Prize: Participants entering Community Transit’s Share Your Transit Story are entering for a chance to win a limited-edition Community Transit Ride Transit t-shirt. Sizes and quantities are limited.
  • Prize Limitations: Participants are eligible to win only one prize during Ride Transit Month.
  • Prize Distribution: Community Transit will select up to five Share Your Transit Story winners each week during Ride Transit Month (June 2 – June 27).  Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. Winner selection will be based on impact, specificity, and clarity and conciseness. Prize winners will be notified via email, phone, or DM via Facebook or Instagram / Meta (if winner entered via social media). Winners must provide a valid first and last name, and Snohomish County address for the prize to be mailed to. If a winner does not respond within 5 days, the prize may be forfeited, and another winner will be selected. Please allow up to 14 business days for prize delivery.
  • Prize Acceptance: By accepting a prize, winners consent to Community Transit featuring their first name and submitted story for marketing purposes, including but not limited to website, social channels, advertising, and other promotional marketing assets. If a story is selected for use, it will include a clear disclosure that it was submitted as part of this contest.

  • Participants agree to release Meta from any responsibility or liability related to the contest.
  • Participants must comply with all applicable Meta guidelines, terms of use, and community guidelines throughout the contest.

General conditions

  • Community Transit reserves the right to change, suspend, or cancel the drawing if unforeseen circumstances or technical issues arise.
  • Community Transit’s decisions about any aspect of the contest, including winner selections, are final and binding.
  • Community Transit reserves the right to disqualify any participant for failure to follow the rules, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any behavior deemed inappropriate or disruptive to the contest.
  • Participants agree to abide by these official rules and all applicable laws and regulations.
