New bus schedules went into effect on Sept. 14. When reviewing the schedules at the bus stop, riders should check for the effective date to determine if you are looking at the correct schedule. Current schedules can be found on the Maps & Schedules webpage.

While Community Transit offers bus service to Link light rail stations, light rail service is owned by Sound Transit. To learn more about Link light rail, visit soundtransit.org.

We understand your frustration in moving from one commuter route to Seattle to transferring to light rail from the bus. We understand that this creates another step in your journey. We did make this decision to improve the experience overall for riders in Snohomish County. Our goal is to connect riders to congestion-free light rail and avoid duplicating service offered by Link light rail.

We will begin implementing further changes to bus service in phases through 2026. Riders will see increased frequency and extensions of bus operating hours for many local routes in 2025 and 2026. We will provide more details about the specific routes we're adding and removing at each service change as these changes get closer. Learn more on our Transit Changes in 2024 and Beyond webpage.

Parking at Lynnwood City Center Station, formerly Lynnwood Transit Center, is currently free. Sound Transit is considering a paid parking management system in the future.

Most DART paratransit riders won't experience any changes to their DART service with the Sept. 14 service change, but you may have more travel options.

Here's what's changing:

  • With changes to bus service, DART riders may have access to new areas to travel or expanded DART service hours. View the maps and videos on this page or check our Maps & Schedules for more detailed information on available routes. You can also see a map of the Community Transit DART paratransit service area below with new service areas highlighted in yellow.

  • New areas that DART will be serving starting Sept. 14 include portions of:

    • Highway 532 between I-5 and Stanwood.
    • East of the Smith Island neighborhood in Everett and I-5, just south of Marysville.

  • DART can provide service to destinations within 3/4 of a mile of Community Transit's local bus routes, as well as Sound Transit’s light rail service, during times that Community Transit’s local bus routes operate.
  • DART riders are able to connect to Sound Transit's Link light rail at Lynnwood City Center Station (formerly Lynnwood Transit Center), Mountlake Terrace Station (formerly Mountlake Terrace Transit Center), and the Shoreline North/185th Station. Paratransit service to the new Shoreline South/148th Station and other Link light rail stations in King County is provided by King County Metro’s paratransit service.

When riders call or use the app to schedule a ride after Sept. 14, they will be notified if their trip falls outside of the updated service area or service times. Please call (425) 347-5912 with questions about your DART service.
