About Shoreline
Shoreline is served by King County Metro, Community Transit and Sound Transit. Community Transit offers multiple bus routes Aurora Village Transit Center, including Swift Blue Line bus rapid transit. Shoreline North/185th station will be opening Aug. 30, 2024, along with the Link light rail expansion.

Community Transit awarded for outstanding marketing and communication work
Community Transit is a proud recipient of three first-place awards from the American Public Transportation Association’s 2023 AdWheel Awards! These are awarded to APTA members for outstanding marketing and communication efforts that contribute to strategic organization goals.
Community Transit received first-place awards for the following categories:
- “Best Electronic Media on Workforce Development" for our video series in support of mechanic recruitment.
- “Best Educational Special Event“ for our Swift Orange Line Groundbreaking event.
- “Best Educational Shoestring Tactic” for our blog series in support of Van GO surplus vehicle grant program
