What are Rider Alerts?
When things change, Rider Alerts give you the updates you need so that you can plan ahead.
Trip-related Rider Alerts are created when:
- A bus is more than 10 minutes delayed
- A trip is canceled
- A trip is rerouted
- A bus stop or transit center is impacted by changes
- A service change is scheduled
- Regular service hours change
- Severe weather or construction projects impact service
You can opt in to get Rider Alerts for:
- Routes
- Swift lines
- News
- Transit projects
- Job opportunities

We strongly encourage all riders to sign up for alerts in case your route is impacted.
Rider Alerts include both planned and unplanned changes to service
Sometimes service changes are unplanned due to weather or other unexpected events that affect service. Community Transit also has four planned service changes throughout the year: two larger service changes in the spring and fall, and two minor service changes in the summer and winter. This helps us to provide reliable service that meets your needs. During these changes, all riders are encouraged to check their schedules for updates.
See current Rider Alerts and learn more about planned changes to service:
