How Vanpool Fares Work

Your monthly fare covers everything — a comfortable and clean van, gas, insurance, maintenance, and a ride home in case of emergency.

Monthly fares are determined by the following factors:

  • Average daily round-trip commute miles
  • Van size
  • Number of Vanpool riders

Employer-paid options

Many local employers, such as UW and and Boeing, offer Vanpool subsidies. Check with your HR department or your Employee Transportation Coordinator to learn more about company benefits and subsidy options. Some riders may be able to use an employer-provided ORCA Business Passport to pay their fare as well.
